I recently learned about Rituel de Fille products at a photoshoot and quickly fell for the beauty brand with products that are as good as their packaging is adorable. I started using the Phosphene luminizer right away (a pearly pink that adds a touch of color and sheen to your cheeks) and have since fallen for their Eye Soot. Their celestial sphere collection is filled with sparkly, iridescent shadows that glide on and shimmer in the most subtle way. I’m partial to ‘Ara’ and ‘Fornax,’ but they’re all irresistibly appealing.

While I’m not sold on it long-term, I’ve found that I’m spending significantly less on miscellaneous shopping sprees (I actually haven’t purchased any clothing since I started Unlimited) and I’m able to take more fashion risks. I’ve also loved having the chance to wear expensive statement pieces that I’d never be able to afford, like this SEA dress, this Tibi skirt, and this Peter Pilotto sweater.
My struggle with late-20’s onset hormonal acne began about two years ago. After nearly every friend of mine recommended we watch Bodyguard on Netflix, G and I gave it a try over Christmas break and plowed through all six episodes in a matter of days. It stars Richard Madden (aka Robb Stark), who won the Golden Globe for best actor, as a war-veteran-turned bodyguard, assigned to protect the Home Secretary. Its intensity only builds over the season, with lots of great twists and turns, and one of the more riveting finales I can remember.
The first thing my boyfriend Jonah said after I purchased these was, “You can’t write about this for the blog. It’s too embarrassing.” Um, what’s embarrassing about sun protection? I know that these gloves are the dorkiest things I own, but I love them. Because I spend about two hours per day driving in L.A., and there’s some evidence that significantly more cases of melanoma occur on the drivers’ side (I personally have twice as many freckles on my left arm as my right), I decided to not take my chances. I keep these babies in my glove box, and pull them out for my commutes in the California sunshine. P.S., I felt pretty silly, until I learned Anne wears the mask version of it when she drives! Working my way up to that.
My brother is generally not the greatest gift-giver, but this year he nailed it with wireless in-ear headphones. I immediately ripped the box open and used them on multiple workouts over the holiday break. They’re super user-friendly and fit perfectly into my ear (something I’ve found to be a struggle with other headphones).
Since getting engaged a month ago, I’ve been researching wedding venues pretty much every single day trying to figure out which places we should go look at in person. It took me a long time to come around to the idea of e-readers, but after reading such great reviews of this reader, my boyfriend decided to give it to me for Christmas, and I’m so glad he did. This kindle is super sleek, adapts to light, and gives the closest impression to a book page that I’ve seen yet. Plus, the audio book feature is perfect for long flights where even reading seems like a chore.
When I first heard this documentary about the British band Bros described as a real-life Spinal Tap, my first thoughts were “I must see this!” followed closely by “Wait, who are Bros?” Luckily, you can enjoy this movie whether you’ve heard their hit single or not—this documentary follows twin brothers Luke and Matt Goss as they stage a reunion of their late-80’s boyband, who had a quick 15 minutes of fame before it all fell apart. “After the Screaming Stops” is just as funny (and cringe-worthy) as promised, and includes some great throwback 80’s fashion.
