Five Things

I feel like the last 14 days have been nothing but a haze of illness (my dad even got the flu while he was visiting us last weekend, poor guy). Typically what happens is I get sick and G remains stalwart in health, his immunity almost never succumbing to seasonal bugs. But we dropped like dominoes one by one – first me, then Sloan, then G. The silver lining is that it hit us all before my birthday next week. Not that we’re doing anything big – just my favorite itinerary of Pizzeria Mozza takeout and opening a great bottle of wine. Still, no one wants to celebrate their birthday with a box of tissues half-asleep on Nyquil. I have something to look forward to even sooner in that I’m hosting a farmer’s market brunch at the house on Sunday with help from Gaby. I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes snaps, so keep up with me there, and I’ll see you back here Monday. Hope you stay healthy!
