A couple of weeks back I started to think about all of the food I couldn’t wait to eat when in Italy – the list went something like this: pasta, gelato, pizza, gelato (repeat). We plan on doing a ton of walking to balance it all out, but one thing I had been nervous about was breakfast. I’m a big believer in a hearty meal to start off the day (I usually make a tortilla with eggs, cheese, and chives most mornings) and I had heard things were a lot less formal in Italy. To better prepare myself, I decided to make chocolate-dipped almond biscotti that I quickly discovered was an even better way to start the day (especially when dunked into coffee).
