Apple Cider Doughnut Loaf Cake

Fall is my favorite time of year, so it’s no surprise that nearly everything I bake somehow channels the flavors of the season. This loaf cake is equal parts moist, sweet, spicy and aromatic and brings me right back to the little mountain town where we ate hot apple cider doughnuts out of paper bags. Make sure to read the instructions through before making it, since it’s not difficult, but also not entirely straightforward, and be prepared to have a new favorite loaf that will make your entire place smell incredible.
