Fall is my favorite time of year, so it’s no surprise that nearly everything I bake somehow channels the flavors of the season. This loaf cake is equal parts moist, sweet, spicy and aromatic and brings me right back to the little mountain town where we ate hot apple cider doughnuts out of paper bags.
