Zipped Down the Front

I was a ballerina for approximately six months. I took it pretty seriously – always coordinating my tights to my tutu (all of the other four-year-olds stuck to plain leotards). In our production of The Nutracker, I was a sheep, which I’m pretty sure was a made up role for all of the class rejects. After my first time on stage and the subsequent terror that ensued, I realized I wasn’t cut out for becoming a prima ballerina, though clearly never got over my love for a petal pink piece paired with a bun.
