T-Shirt Memories

I first fell in love with flea markets in the summer of 2005. I had gone as a kid, but purchased slightly different items – namely toy mice and Hammer pants (my dad and I had matching pairs). When I first moved to L.A., I didn’t know anyone, so when I wasn’t at work, it pretty much meant that I’d be spending time by myself. I quickly became comfortable with things like dining alone and going to the movies solo, with a standing date at the flea market every Sunday. This t-shirt was the first thing I ever bought at the Melrose Trading Post. It was $7 and besides being insanely soft and worn-in (confession: occasionally it doubles as pajamas), it reminds me of just how much has changed since I first arrived in L.A.
