Before trying on this wrap dress, I had my concerns. Unlike a traditional wrap that comes together and ties in the front, this one has a fully closed collar with Tabard-style slits that go all of the way up on either side, secured only by a waist belt. It practically begged for a wardrobe malfunction. But after trying it on, I discovered that the front and back panels overlap enough for full coverage, while allowing for effortless mobility—whether picking up Sloan or (in my case) jogging back to a nearly-expired meter. Worn with simple leather sandals, it’s a chic, elegant outfit that I can envision just as easily on a walk to the farmers’ market as dinner with friends. I can hardly imagine my closet without it.
