I typically try to avoid the more touristy parts of L.A. during the holidays (at least in the final week leading up to Christmas), as the streets are typically packed with shoppers and visitors. But after a late lunch near Beverly Hills the other day, I decided to brave the crowds to see some of the decorated windows and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. It was a nice reminder to not avoid little inconveniences, since a nice walk (paired with a peppermint hot chocolate, naturally) while experiencing a glimpse of seasonal festivity was quite rewarding.
