The simplicity of this dress is exactly what first inspired me to buy it—since there’s no loud pattern or frilly detailing, there’s very little room for error, but it was obviously designed with that in mind. Instead, the satin trim, modest slit, and asymmetrical side-hem are eye-catching in a more subtle way that isn’t immediately obvious. The nude color also reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw’s own nude slip dress—it was only later, once I was looking through the photos, that I realized I was probably subconsciously channeling her when I picked out the bold Manolo Blahnik sandals to go with it.
