One afternoon during my trip to Paris with G, we spent hours at an outdoor bistro along the Seine (which is as ideal as it sounds). As we sipped kirs and watched Parisians commuting home from work, I began to notice a trend among the women: Many wore understated vintage jeans, with a simple tee, and something that added a touch of unpretentious glamour, like diamond studs or a Chanel bag. When I returned home, I was quick to try out the look myself. For my own interpretation, I threw on a vintage pair of Levi’s with my favorite trench and a subtle metallic block heel. The resulting look felt classic, and, dare I say, French.
