When I launched the cupcakes and cashmere clothing collection four years ago, I never could have imagined it’d someday be carried in over 500 boutiques around the country, as well as Shopbop, Nordstrom, Revolve, Neiman Marcus and Anthropologie. The reception and momentum is the highest compliment I could ever receive, but I kept coming back to the idea of dressing a woman head-to-toe.
Today, after two-and-a-half years of careful planning and designing, that dream is finally a reality, with our first-ever shoe collection launching at Nordstrom! It meant a lot to me to have pairs grounded in classic, well-made pieces, from the Gisela, my dream block heel that comes in snakeskin, black, and white leather, to the Harmon platform, an update on one of my favorite shoe trends.
I’m thrilled with how they look, but my priority was always that they, first and foremost, be high-quality (at an approachable price point) and comfortable. I tested out each pair, often times spending an entire day propped up in our highest heels, making sure the padded footbeds provided enough support.

It’s no exaggeration to say every detail was painstakingly considered. In creating one of my favorite pairs, the Jevalyn, I knew I wanted a kitten heel with a grosgrain bow. From that idea, I went through hundreds of iterations until I found the perfect shape – one that wasn’t too pointy, showed just a hint of toe cleavage, in a material I love (a luxe suede I ended up using on several styles in the collection), a not-quite-ink shade of black, a bow shape and size that felt eye-catching without being overwhelming, and a flattering heel height. I loved the shoe so much I also created a periwinkle blue version of it, available here.
The styles we landed on are the exact pieces I want in my closet, and I couldn’t feel more proud of the collection. They’re extremely well-made, in a variety of price points and sizes (from 5.5 to 11), and are rooted in timeless designs—without feeling stale or predictable.
Creating shoes was truly a labor of love, and I’ve been bursting at the seams to show you the styles—which you can browse through here, at Nordstrom. Now that they’re live, I’m so excited to see how it evolves (just wait till you see the candy-colored strappy styles launching soon!).
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. As with every improvement and iteration this company goes through, I couldn’t have done it without you and I’m so happy to be able to share this success with you. I hope you love them as much as I do! x
