If I’m being fully honest, the excitement and anticipation I usually feel towards summertime feels a bit indecorous right now. Beaches are closed, vacations are cancelled, and, far more importantly, so much of the world is suffering as a result of the pandemic and its many side effects. This is a summer filled with a lot of unknowns, but I’m hoping to still celebrate with homemade ice cream eaten as an afternoon snack and embrace the early signs of what appear to be face mask tan lines… Personally, I’ve optimistically been adding swimwear to my cart in the hopes that come July, I’ll be heading to a beach (or, at the very least, laying out on a towel in my driveway). xEmily
