A while back, I posted my 3 minute makeup routine, which came about one morning when I was rushing to get ready for a forgotten breakfast meeting but still needed to look put together. Since that look is a bit more made-up than I’ve been favoring lately, I thought I’d share my updated minimalist routine that takes just as little time. I still utilize the trick of mixing two products together and lean heavily on multi-taskers, but for a much more subdued look.

The products: Burberry Highlighter, RMS Lip2Cheek in Demure, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, Charlotte Tilbury Brown Eyeliner.

In order to even-out my skin while also making sure it looks dewy, I combine my foundation with a pearlescent highlighter. The all-over highlighter not only gives me a nice glow, but it also cuts down on the amount of coverage I get from the foundation, which looks more natural.

My natural lip color is so dark, which can look oddly dramatic in the morning, so I prefer when it’s a lighter, pastel pink. This balm is great since I swipe it over my lips and my cheeks, which brightens up my whole face.

In the past, I went for a more severe look by lining the inner rims of my eyes in a black pencil. Now, when I don’t feel like taking the time to apply mascara, I use a brown eyeliner that I smudge just a bit at the base of my lashes so it creates a subtle, smokey effect.

P.S. my tips for glowing skin and blush basics.
