Monthly Beauty Buys

Unsurprisingly, I haven’t had a ton of time to myself ever since Sloan arrived. Though I’ve been trying to take a bit of a maternity leave, any time I get her down for a nap, I’m either attempting to sleep myself (ha), straightening up the house or doing work. But, as we’ve been gradually finding more of a routine, I’ve been attempting to get out of my sweats each morning (what now, Eva Mendes?) and applying make-up on most days. Here are the three beauty pick-me-ups I was devoted to in March.

Shiseido Eye Pads

I swear by my Shiseido face cleanser, so I thought that I would give their eye pads a try. They’re cool and refreshing and after fifteen minutes, my under-eye puffiness is virtually gone and in its place is hydrated, glowy skin. The recommended use is a few times a week, but even when I wear them once every so often, I notice a big difference.

BY Terry Baume de Rose

I have a new appreciation for products that have multiple uses and this one is at the top of my list. It’s a luxuriously rich, hydrating balm that smells like roses and lasts forever (I put it on when going to bed and it’s still on when I wake up). I use it everywhere from my lips and cuticles to my elbows and tips of my hair for a touch of texture.

Anastasia Contour Palette

I’ve always shied away from intense contouring for fear that I’ll resemble a Kardashian sister (works for them, not for me). But this highly pigmented palette is easy to use and just a light touch of powder adds such pretty dimension to my face in a really natural way. Also pictured:
